This Rock Island Armory M1911 A1-FS is a full-size, Series-70 pattern .45 ACP with a Government-length 5-inch barrel and a matte dark parkerized-type finish. It features a forged 4140 steel slide, a cast 4140 carbon-steel frame, and aftermarket stag-style textured grip panels. Fixed, low-profile sights, an arched mainspring housing, and traditional 1911 controls round out a classic configuration with durable construction.

This M1911 A1-FS follows the proven Government pattern with a 5-inch barrel, barrel bushing, and a checkered recoil-spring plug. The Series-70 configuration omits a firing-pin block, maintaining a traditional 1911 operating layout.
Construction is robust, with a forged 4140 steel slide and a cast 4140 carbon-steel frame wearing a uniform matte dark, parkerized-type finish. Rear vertical slide serrations provide a firm grip for racking.
Sights are fixed and low-profile, combining a staked blade front with a dovetailed square-notch rear. Controls include a left-side magazine release, a left-side thumb safety, and a grip safety, paired with a solid (non-skeletonized) trigger and a spur hammer.
The pistol retains classic 1911 ergonomics, featuring an arched mainspring housing with vertical grooves and single-stack .45 ACP feeding for an 8+1 capacity. Aftermarket stag-style textured grip panels are installed for a distinct look and positive purchase.
Markings include APINTL–PAHRUMP NV and ACP PHILIPPINES. The pistol is single-action, short-recoil operated, and built on the 1911 platform for familiar handling and maintenance.
