This Ruger MAX-9 is the Manual Safety model of Ruger’s micro 9mm series, built in Prescott, Arizona. It features a 3.2 in hammer-forged barrel, an optics-ready slide with a Shield RMSc/JPoint footprint and cover plate, and a bright tritium fiber-optic front sight. The pistol is compact at approximately 6.0 in overall length and 18.4 oz unloaded, and it comes with two 10-round magazines and a boxed Swampfox Sentinel micro red dot.

The MAX-9 Manual Safety variant combines a striker-fired action with multiple passive and manual safeties, including a thumb safety, a trigger safety blade, and an internal striker blocker. The design does not use a magazine disconnect.
Construction highlights include a through-hardened alloy-steel slide, a hammer-forged alloy-steel barrel, and a glass-reinforced nylon grip frame over an aluminum fire-control chassis. Front and rear cocking serrations and a faceted slide nose aid manipulation while maintaining a compact profile.
The slide is factory cut for micro reflex optics using the Shield RMSc/JPoint footprint and is delivered with a Ruger phoenix-logo cover plate installed. A loaded-chamber viewport provides a quick visual check. The left side of the slide is marked “MAX-9,” and the chamber hood is marked “9MM LUGER.”
Sight configuration pairs a green tritium/fiber-optic front with a black rear notch. The setup provides a clear, daylight-bright front reference with a clean rear blade.
This pistol ships with a Swampfox Sentinel micro reflex sight in the box (3 MOA, auto-brightness). The optic is included but not mounted, allowing the buyer to install and zero it to preference.
