Specific Condition Notes: The pistol presents in great shape with some scratches and blemishes. The bore is clean and shiny. The rear sight of the included MCK chassis does not fold.

The XD-40 Sub-Compact is built around a forged steel slide with a Melonite treatment over a 3-inch steel barrel. A captive recoil-spring assembly specific to the Sub-Compact model aids reliability in the short-slide format. The black polymer frame includes a single-slot accessory rail on the dust cover for lights or similar accessories.
Controls and indicators are comprehensive: a striker-fired action, ambidextrous magazine release, grip safety, trigger safety with a central safety lever, internal striker block, loaded-chamber indicator, and striker status indicator. Front and rear slide serrations provide positive handling. Sights are dovetailed fixed 3-dot units with a drift-adjustable rear.
