Smith & Wesson M&P FPC 9mm Folding Carbine, 16.25 in Threaded Barrel, 23+1, Black
This Smith & Wesson M&P FPC stands out with its horizontally folding design, compact folded length of approximately 16 3/8 in, and fixed stock with dual in-stock magazine storage. It uses a 16.25 in 4140 steel threaded barrel with a muzzle brake installed and accepts double-stack M&P pistol magazines through the grip. Marked "SMITH & WESSON MARYVILLE, TN USA," it is a lightweight, US-made carbine at about 5.03 lb.
The folding latch locks the carbine securely when stowed and unfolds to an overall length of approximately 30 3/8 in. The polymer stock includes a quick-release tab for the in-stock magazines and a length of pull of 15.0 in, providing a consistent shoulder fit.
The straight blowback action pairs with an integrated recoil buffer in the receiver tube. The 1/2x28 threaded 16.25 in barrel features a 1:10 twist and a muzzle brake installed. Controls include a cross-bolt safety with a red fire indicator and a flat-face trigger.
Feeding is via double-stack M&P pistol magazines seated in the pistol-grip magwell, and this rifle is configured for a 23+1 capacity. Included magazines are two 23-round extended types and one 17-round standard type.
Construction is centered on an aluminum receiver with a hard-coat black anodized finish and a black polymer frame and stock. A ventilated M-LOK handguard and top Picatinny rails on the receiver and handguard are installed. The carbine has no sights installed.
