The Gen 3 G17 features a full-size polymer frame in black with the classic three-finger grooves and molded checkering for a secure hold. A single-slot accessory rail on the dust cover accommodates compatible lights or other rail-mounted accessories.
The slide wears a matte black finish with rear-only vertical serrations for a positive grip during manipulation. Fixed polymer sights consist of a white-dot front and a white-outline rear, providing a familiar Glock sight picture.
Its 4.49-inch steel barrel uses polygonal rifling, and the pistol operates via Glock’s striker-fired Safe Action system with three passive safeties. The standard Gen 3 left-side magazine release is the small-pattern design.
