This Walther PP is a post-war Ulm, West Germany police-issue pistol in .32 ACP, identifiable by the oval "RP" Rheinland-Pfalz property stamp and a factory lanyard ring, and it bears standard West German eagle/N proofs and an Ulm stag-antler barrel proof with a "65" date. It features polished blued carbon-steel construction, a fixed barrel, and classic PP controls. Built in 1965 at Walther’s Ulm facility, this PP carries correct West German commercial markings: eagle/N nitro proofs on the slide and frame and the Ulm stag-antler on the barrel, with the barrel proof date "65" confirming the year of manufacture. In addition, it is a West German police-issue example, property-marked with the oval "RP" stamp of Rheinland-Pfalz on the right side of the frame and equipped with the factory lanyard ring.
The pistol uses a DA/SA, straight-blowback system with a fixed barrel. Controls include a slide-mounted safety/decocker, a loaded chamber indicator, a left-side push-button magazine release, and the PP’s pivoting trigger-guard takedown. An exposed spurred hammer provides positive manual control.
Construction is polished blued carbon steel with black checkered plastic grips featuring the Walther banner. The slide has vertical rear serrations and an anti-glare rib that reduces reflections across the top of the slide.
Sights are fixed, with an integral front blade and a fixed rear notch. The 3.9 inch barrel pairs with an 8+1 capacity using a single-column magazine marked with numbered witness holes from 2 through 8.
