The Mod.2 3" Sub-Compact configuration delivers a micro-size footprint with a 3-inch hammer-forged barrel and forged steel slide, both treated with a Melonite finish for corrosion resistance. The polymer frame uses the Mod.2 Grip Zone multi-texture pattern for secure contact where it matters.
Controls are simple and ambidextrous where it counts, including the magazine release. Safety features include a grip safety, trigger safety, a pivoting top-mounted loaded-chamber indicator, and a striker-status indicator. A single-slot accessory rail is integrated up front.
Sight alignment is fast with a red fiber-optic front sight paired to a low-profile, drift-mounted rear. The captive recoil spring assembly supports reliable cycling in the compact slide length.
This pistol is manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and marked/imported by Springfield Armory U.S.A., with model markings observed (XD-9, SUB-COMPACT, Mod.2) and proof/import stamps reading MADE IN CROATIA and SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A. Matching serial markings are observed on the barrel hood and frame. It ships with both a flush-fit 13-round magazine and an extended 16-round magazine with grip sleeve, plus XD Gear accessories.
