The 26-inch vent-rib barrel with a single front bead provides a clear, familiar sight picture, and the 3 inch chamber offers flexibility with both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch 20-gauge loads. The barrel is rollmarked "Remington Arms Company Ilion, NY."
The screw-in choke system is set up with a modified flush tube, giving a practical, all-around constriction out of the box. Right-side ejection, a cross-bolt safety, and a polymer trigger guard round out the core controls.
The hardwood stock and long sporter forend feature pressed checkering for grip, complemented by a rubber buttpad. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches. The matte finish on the receiver and barrel reduces glare while keeping maintenance straightforward.
This 870 Express uses an under-barrel tubular magazine with a stated 2+1 capacity and an orange magazine follower for quick visual checks. Made in the United States, it brings the straightforward functionality that has defined the platform for decades.
