The Hellion’s bullpup configuration delivers a short overall length of approximately 28.25–29.75 inches while retaining a 16 in barrel. At about 8 lbs, it balances well and remains maneuverable without sacrificing barrel length.
The action is a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston design paired with a two-position adjustable gas system marked Normal and Suppressed. Ejection is reversible without additional parts, supporting both right- and left-handed shooters.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the manual safety, magazine release, and a non-reciprocating, forward-folding charging handle. The rifle accepts AR-15/STANAG magazines and features an adjustable five-position stock with a cheek riser; length of pull measures 16.25 in.
The 16 in barrel is 4150 CMV, hammer-forged, and Melonite-treated with a 1:7 twist. It is threaded and fitted with a four-prong flash hider. A polymer handguard with M-LOK slots and a full-length numbered Picatinny top rail provide mounting space, while integrated flip-up iron sights include an elevation-adjustable front and a 5-aperture, windage-adjustable rear.
