The Mark I represents the first-generation Ruger rimfire pistol lineage, known for its fixed barrel and tubular carbon-steel receiver. This configuration uses an internal cylindrical bolt with twin rear ears, giving it the recognizable profile and smooth cycling behavior associated with the series.
Chambered in .22 LR, this Standard Model features the classic 4.75-inch tapered steel barrel and a blued finish. Fixed iron sights include a banded-base front blade and a fixed rear notch for a simple, durable sight picture.
Controls are period-correct and intuitive, with a heel magazine release and a thumb safety. Checkered wood grip panels provide a solid hold without adding bulk, and the pistol feeds from standard 10-round magazines for a 10+1 capacity.
As the Standard configuration of the Mark I series, it reflects the design that preceded the Mark II update introduced in 1982. The features present here capture the original formula that made Ruger’s rimfire pistols a mainstay on the range.
