Manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and marked "SPRINGFIELD INC. GENESEO, IL - MADE IN CROATIA," this XD-9 Service Model reflects the well-known Springfield/HS Produkt collaboration. The pistol carries the Springfield Armory crossed-cannons logo on the slide.
Controls and safeties are comprehensive and intuitive: striker-fired action, ambidextrous magazine release, grip safety, trigger safety, and firing pin block. Tactile indicators for both striker status and a loaded chamber are integrated into the slide for quick status checks.
Sight alignment is straightforward with fixed 3-dot dovetailed sights. The slide is finished in black, and the captive recoil-spring assembly supports consistent cycling. An integral accessory rail with a single cross-slot accommodates compatible weapon lights or accessories.
The full-size polymer frame features SA-XD molded grip texturing for secure handling. A steel 4-inch barrel complements the 9mm Luger chambering, and the double-stack magazines provide a 16+1 capacity, aligning with the Service Model’s duty-ready configuration.
