The BM62 is the Italian-made sporting counterpart to the BM59, retaining the proven gas-operated, rotating-bolt system and the right-side charging handle. This example is marked "P. BERETTA – MADE IN ITALY" on the receiver heel and "P.B. BM59" on the operating rod, with a detachable box-magazine feed system in .308 Win.
Its 19.3-inch barrel is fitted with a cylindrical multi-ported muzzle device, and the rifle uses iron sights consisting of a protected front post on the gas block and a Garand/M14-type rear aperture with windage and elevation knobs. This setup delivers a familiar, precise sight picture.
The walnut furniture includes a fixed stock with a rubber recoil pad, a front sling swivel and a rear buttstock sling slot with a steel cross bar, a finger-groove fore-end, and a walnut upper handguard. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches. A leather two-point sling is installed.
Imported in limited numbers, the BM62 is recognized by collectors for its direct lineage to the BM59 and authentic Italian manufacture. This rifle’s clean, sharp bore and included accessories add to its appeal as a complete, ready-to-enjoy package.
