Built on Ruger’s first-year LCR platform (2009), this revolver uses a monolithic 7000-series aluminum frame paired with a stainless barrel sleeve and a polymer fire-control housing. The result is a compact, 5-shot wheelgun that weighs about 13.5 oz and measures approximately 6.5 in overall, with a 1.87 in barrel for discreet carry.
The cylinder is stainless steel with aggressive flutes to reduce weight while maintaining strength. It is chambered in .38 Special and rated for +P, offering versatility across common defensive loads.
This LCR operates double-action-only with an enclosed, spurless hammer and Ruger’s friction-reducing cam, delivering a smooth, consistent trigger pull. A transfer-bar safety is integrated into the design. The grip is a Hogue Tamer rubber Monogrip for secure control.
Sighting is fast and straightforward: a fixed system with an integral rear trench and a Trijicon tritium front sight blade. The included LaserMax CenterFire red laser is installed on the trigger guard for supplemental aiming. Made in the United States.
