This Smith & Wesson M&P Shield X in 9mm Luger is the No Thumb Safety configuration with a 3.6 inch stainless steel barrel and an optics-ready slide. It pairs a compact overall length of about 6.87 inches with a 15+1 capacity and includes both 15- and 13-round steel magazines. The stainless steel slide and barrel wear S&W’s Armornite (nitride) finish, and the slide is cut for the RMSc/Holosun K footprint with the factory cover plate installed.
Features that stand out on this example include the flat-face trigger with integral safety blade, aggressive grip texturing with an extended beavertail, fixed sights with a high-visibility front dot and a black serrated rear sight, and an integrated accessory rail with three cross-slots. The slide is marked “MARYVILLE, TN USA” on the right side (low on the flat). This recent release retains excellent overall condition and a bright, clean bore.

The M&P Shield X platform here is striker-fired and locked-breech, with a left-side magazine release and trigger safety in the No Thumb Safety (NTS) configuration. It is capable of firing with the magazine removed (no magazine disconnect).
The stainless steel slide and barrel receive S&W’s Armornite finish for corrosion resistance. The slide adds front and rear serrations plus an optic cut compatible with RMSc/Holosun K pattern footprints (ClearSight Cut), and ships with the factory cover plate installed when irons are used.
Sight picture is straightforward and fast, using fixed irons with a high-visibility front dot and a black serrated rear sight. Ergonomics are enhanced by aggressive grip texturing and an extended beavertail for control.
An integrated accessory rail with three cross-slots supports common compact lights or lasers. Overall length is approximately 6.87 inches, with an unloaded weight about 20.8–21.0 oz for easy carry and handling.
