Built on the AR-15 platform and derived from the HK416, this MR556A1 uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt. It is part of HK's 75th Anniversary series and finished in the factory Flecktarn camouflage pattern with matching anniversary markings. The Flecktarn MR556A1 edition was limited to 500 units, and this example is noted as 1 of 500.
The rifle is configured with a 16.5 in German cold-hammer-forged heavy barrel featuring an unlined bore and 6 grooves with a 1:7 right-hand twist. The muzzle is threaded and fitted with a flash hider. The barrel is stamped with the HK proof shield over CF, and the bolt carrier is marked "HK MR."
Furniture and interface are set up for modern accessories with a free-float M-LOK handguard and a continuous, T-marked Picatinny top rail. The HK E1 six-position stock includes a position lock set screw, and the rifle is fitted with a Magpul pistol grip. Capacity is 30+1 via the STANAG magazine interface, and four 30-round Magpul PMAGs are included.
Receiver markings include "Heckler & Koch Inc., Columbus, GA" on the right magwell. The rifle retains the Flecktarn camouflage finish across the receiver set and features a manual safety. This is a USA-produced MR556A1 configured with the German barrel and the full commemorative package.
