This 340PD follows the J-frame Centennial pattern with a fully enclosed hammer and double-action-only operation. The DAO trigger and snag-free profile support discreet carry and fast, consistent use.
Construction is centered on ultra-light materials: a scandium-alloy frame in matte black and a titanium-alloy cylinder in matte gray. The two-piece sleeved barrel uses a stainless steel liner that is visible at the muzzle.
Sight setup is straightforward and robust, with a fixed integral rear groove and a ramped front sight featuring a red/orange insert for quick indexing. An internal key lock is present per factory configuration.
Chambered in .357 Magnum and also rated for .38 Special +P, the 5-shot cylinder provides flexibility in ammunition selection. The barrel is factory-marked "NO LESS THAN 120 GR BULLET."
