The compact M&P 9c format combines a 3.5 in barrel with an overall length of approximately 6.7 in and an unloaded weight around 21.7 oz. The polymer frame wears a black finish and the slide and barrel are stainless steel with a durable black Melonite treatment.
Controls are well laid out, with ambidextrous slide stop levers and a left-side magazine release. The two-piece hinged safety trigger is paired with a loaded-chamber viewport. This model has no external manual thumb safety and is marked to fire with the magazine removed, indicating no magazine disconnect.
Sighting is straightforward and rugged: a dovetailed white-dot front and a low-profile steel rear with white dots. The slide features fish-scale rear serrations and no front serrations for a consistent first-generation M&P 9c profile.
Capacity is 12+1 with the included compact magazines. An integral accessory rail with two slots on the dust cover provides mounting space as needed. This is the original M&P9c pattern, distinct from the later M2.0 Compact series.
