This Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield is a micro-size 9mm with the manual thumb safety configuration and a 3.1" barrel. It features installed Trijicon tritium night sights with a high-visibility yellow front ring and comes with two 8-round magazines. The pistol retains its factory black polymer frame and matte black slide, and it is marked for operation without a magazine installed. The slide is optics-ready, with a recessed mounting cut and a flat cover plate located ahead of the rear sight (no optic included).

The M&P9 Shield platform is known for its compact dimensions, and this example is the micro-size variant with a single-column magazine design. It is a striker-fired, semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger and configured with a manual thumb safety.
The sighting system has been upgraded with Trijicon tritium night sights. The front sight carries a high-visibility yellow ring for daytime prominence, while the rear is a 2-dot tritium unit, offering a clear sight picture in varied lighting.
Controls include a left-side magazine release, a hinged safety trigger, and the factory manual thumb safety. The slide has rear cocking serrations only, finished in matte black, paired with a black polymer frame with molded texturing. The dustcover has no accessory rail. The slide is optics-ready, featuring a recessed mounting pocket with a flat cover plate secured by screws just forward of the rear sight.
Factory markings include "M&P 9 SHIELD" and "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A." on the slide and "9MM" on the barrel hood. The slide (right side) is marked "CAUTION - CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED," indicating there is no magazine disconnect.
