The Model 1 uses an over/under two-barrel tip-up, break-open design with a forward/muzzle-end hinge/pivot and a top-strap latch at the breech operated by a left-side serrated release. It has a 2-round capacity and operates single-action-only via an exposed hammer with a wide serrated spur.
Paired firing-pin bushings support alternating two-shot operation. A right-side sliding lever marked "P" is present, and factory barrel markings read ".44 MAGNUM … .44 SPECIAL" along with "A.D.C. WACO, TX." The top of the barrel is marked "SAFETY BEFORE LOADING."
The pistol is stainless steel throughout the frame, receiver, and barrel. It wears birdshead hardwood grips with brass escutcheons. Sighting is via fixed sights: an integral front blade and a top rib/groove rear.
