The Classic Royal Series I showcases Kimber’s late-1990s to early-2000s production with a polished blue presentation finish. Polished flats and matte rounds give the pistol a refined look while reducing glare where it matters.
It retains the Series I internal configuration without a firing-pin safety, paired with a Government-length 5-inch barrel and a GI-style recoil system. The steel frame and slide are finished in blued, and the pistol is built on the full-size 1911 platform.
Functional features include front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered and flared ejection port. Controls are classic 1911: single-side thumb safety and grip safety, with a flat mainspring housing and a smooth front strap.
Sighting is through fixed, low-mount dovetailed sights with a ramped, dovetailed front and a square-notch, low-mount rear. The fire-control setup includes a Commander-style skeletonized hammer and a skeletonized three-hole aluminum trigger.
Double-diamond checkered hardwood grips complete the package, and the pistol ships with two 8-round magazines and the original Kimber hard case, adding practical value for range or carry rotation.
