Built by Israeli Military Industries, this Model B is a Philadelphia-imported carbine marked by Action Arms, Ltd., aligning with the well-known commercial imports of the 1980s. The SA-prefix serial is consistent with semi-automatic UZI carbines, and this example retains the top cover compliance plate and selector legend marked “S/F.”
The carbine uses a closed-bolt blowback action with a top-mounted charging handle and right-side ejection. Its 16-inch barrel is removable via the knurled barrel nut, supporting the UZI’s quick-change system, and it terminates in a plain muzzle. The receiver is steel with a black finish, giving the platform its robust feel and classic appearance.
Furniture includes a folding, skeletonized steel stock with a serrated buttplate and a 15.5-inch length of pull. Controls and handling are anchored by the black polymer pistol grip with grip-safety tail, a ribbed polymer handguard, and a fixed sling loop on the underside for straightforward carry.
Sighting is via protected iron sights: a front post with elevation index marked “UP,” and a rear aperture with a windage drum featuring L↔R arrows. The two-position selector (Safe/Fire) works in tandem with the grip safety. True to the UZI design, the magazine-in-grip architecture supports a capacity of 32+1, and this rifle arrives with one 32-round steel magazine and two 25-round steel magazines bearing Israeli star markings.
