This 1944 Spreewerk P.38 was made in Czechoslovakia at the Grottau plant and bears the correct "cyq" factory code. Built at Metallwarenfabrik Spreewerk’s Grottau facility in 1944, this P.38 reflects wartime production with the "cyq" slide code. It was made in Czechoslovakia and carries period-correct German military inspection and acceptance markings, including the eagle over 88 Waffenamt and an eagle-over-swastika military acceptance.
The slide shows the P.38 open-top configuration with a separate locking block, along with a slide-mounted safety/decocker and a loaded-chamber indicator pin. Fixed iron sights include a front blade and a square-notch rear integral to the slide for a consistent sight picture.
The steel frame features a heel-type magazine release, an external spurred hammer, and a lanyard loop at the lower left rear of the grip frame. Two-piece checkered wood grips complete the classic service profile.
Chambered in 9mm Luger with an approximately 4.9-inch steel barrel, this full-size DA/SA pistol has an 8+1 capacity using a single-stack magazine.
