The Fieldmaster series replaced the Express line after Remington’s 2020 restructuring, offering a current-production take on the 870 with traditional materials. The receiver is marked Remington 870, and the barrel is marked Remington Ilion, NY.
The 28 inch barrel has a ventilated rib and a single front bead for a clear sighting plane. It is threaded for interchangeable choke tubes and comes with a flush Modified choke installed. The chamber accepts 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells; 3 1/2 inch shells are supported only on Super Mag receivers.
This 12-gauge pump is bottom-loading and side-ejecting, with a tube magazine and standard cap for a 4+1 capacity. An orange magazine follower provides clear visual contrast during unloading and checks.
Walnut fore-end and buttstock feature fleur-de-lis pressed checkering, a straight comb, and a rubber recoil pad. A rear sling stud is installed. Length of pull is 13.9 inches. The overall finish is matte black, and the receiver is steel, made in the United States.
