The V3-series Athena uses the 2011 platform with a single-action, hammer-fired system and ambidextrous thumb safety plus grip safety. The flat-faced trigger with lightening cuts and the checkered magazine release support positive control during operation.
The 4.6-inch bull barrel pairs with a wide-body double-stack grip and a flared, bolt-on magwell, providing fast magazine changes and a balanced, competition-oriented configuration. Capacity is listed at 20+1, and the pistol includes both a 20-round and a 15-round magazine.
The tri-top slide incorporates forward lightening windows and top relief cuts, reducing mass while maintaining rigidity. A factory optics cut sits beneath a four-screw cover plate that doubles as the removable rear sight plate, allowing the user to retain iron sights or mount an optic as desired.
Sight configuration is straightforward and fast: a red fiber-optic front sight and a plain black rear sight mounted on the removable top plate. The frame carries a full-length accessory rail with five slots for mounting compatible accessories as needed.
