The CSX is built around a stainless steel barrel with an Armornite nitride finish and a 1:10 RH twist, paired with a matte black Armornite slide. The aluminum-alloy frame keeps the package compact while maintaining a solid, metal feel.
Controls are set up for ambidextrous use, including a manual thumb safety on both sides and an elongated slide stop. The magazine release is reversible to suit either hand. An external hammer and single-action operation are paired with a flat-faced trigger that incorporates a safety tab.
The slide carries front and rear cocking serrations along with glare-reducing serrations on top. An external extractor and a relieved ejection port support reliable operation. Sighting is straightforward with dovetailed metal 3-dot sights: a metal white-dot front and a metal white 2-dot rear.
Grip surfaces are purposefully textured on the frontstrap and backstrap, and the CSX uses interchangeable backstraps to fine-tune hand fit. Factory markings indicate the pistol is capable of firing with the magazine removed.
Announced on January 6, 2022 as a metal-frame, hammer-fired micro-compact with ambidextrous controls, the CSX is made in the USA and ships here with two flush-fit 10-round magazines.
