The Maxim 9S is the short-length variant of SilencerCo’s integrally suppressed 9mm pistol. Its modular baffle stack allows short or long configurations, and this example is in the factory short configuration. The forward housing features a faceted profile with lightening ports, and the muzzle face carries the SilencerCo X emblem.
The pistol uses a mechanically delayed blowback action with a fixed 4.38 in barrel, paired with a striker-fired system. A skeletonized trigger with a trigger safety provides familiar controls, and fixed iron sights are positioned with a front blade on the suppressor housing and a rear notch on the upper assembly.
Magazine compatibility is straightforward: it feeds from Glock 17-pattern double-stack 9mm magazines. Controls include a left-side slide stop and magazine release. Capacity is 15+1, and one 15-round Glock factory magazine is included.
Additional identifiers include distinctive dual serial markings on separate components. The Maxim 9 line, including the 9S, was reportedly discontinued by 2024, adding clarity for buyers tracking current factory production status.
