The steel frame and slide wear a blued finish with polished flats and matte/rounded surfaces. Period-correct features include rear cocking serrations only, an ejection port that is not lowered or flared, and a short spur hammer. The pistol uses a standard barrel bushing and a checkered recoil spring plug.
Grip details are faithful to the era, with a smooth front strap and an arched, vertically serrated mainspring housing without a lanyard loop. Full-checkered wood grips with Colt medallions complete the classic commercial look and feel.
The sights feature a square-profile rear sight secured by a set screw. The front sight is a fixed blade. The original sights are included in the box, along with a Novak dovetail-mount carry sight part, giving flexibility for future sight setup preferences.
