What’s Included
- FEG SA-85M rifle (7.62x39)
- 1x 30-round steel AK-pattern magazine
This SA-85M follows the classic AKM layout with a stamped, dimpled steel receiver and ribbed top cover, finished in black. The action is the proven gas-operated, long-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt, paired with a standard AK-pattern magazine release. It accepts standard double-stack AK-pattern magazines, and the stated capacity is 30+1.
The 16.3-inch barrel ends in an unthreaded, plain crown, consistent with its sporter configuration. Sighting is via standard AK-pattern iron sights with a front post and an AKM-pattern tangent rear leaf. Sling swivels are fitted front and rear for carry options.
Furniture consists of a fixed wood thumbhole stock with a rubber/plastic buttplate, matched to wood handguards. The lower handguard has two elongated ventilation slots per side, while the upper handguard is smooth. The rifle is configured without a bayonet lug and does not have a cleaning rod under the barrel.
Markings include the factory rollmark "SA 85M CAL. 7.62×39 SEMI AUTOMATIC MADE IN HUNGARY" and the FÉG shield logo, plus the importer mark "K.B.I., Inc., Harrisburg, PA." This Hungarian-made configuration and import lineage are desirable details for those seeking a correct AKM-pattern sporter from this period.
