The RXM uses a modular fire-control unit paired with the Magpul Enhanced Handgun Grip (EHG) polymer grip module in olive drab green. This setup delivers a compact footprint with a 4 in barrel, 7.15 in overall length, 5.31 in height, and 1.00 in slide width.
The through-hardened alloy-steel slide and barrel feature an FNC nitride treatment, complemented by front and rear cocking serrations and a Black Nitride slide finish. Co-witness-height steel sights are installed from the factory, with a tritium front and a square-notch steel rear.
A direct-mount, multi-footprint optics system accepts RMR, RMSc, and DeltaPoint Pro footprints, and the slide includes a removable cover plate when no optic is installed. A single-slot accessory rail supports compatible weapon lights or accessories.
The pistol is striker-fired with a flat-faced trigger and safety blade, and incorporates a trigger safety. Capacity is 15+1 with the included PMAG GL9 magazines. The RXM is marked "RUGER • PRESCOTT, AZ • USA," is made in the USA, and is noted as firing with the magazine removed. It also notes compatibility with many Glock Gen3-pattern parts, accessories, holsters, and magazines.
