The Axis II XP configuration delivers a turn-key setup with the Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 scope already mounted and aligned on two-piece bases and rings. There are no iron sights, keeping the sighting system focused around the included optic.
Chambered in .350 Legend, this rifle uses an 18-inch steel sporter barrel with button rifling and a plain, unthreaded muzzle. The metal finish is matte black, and the barrel is rollmarked with Savage Arms, Westfield, MA USA.
The bolt action is right-hand and feeds 4+1 from a detachable box magazine. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger with inner safety blade provides a clean, customizable trigger pull. The receiver is steel with a matte black finish.
The camo synthetic stock features a straight comb, sling swivel studs, and a rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 13.5 inches. A Cabela's stock pack/cheek riser and padded sling are installed, and a Magpul black stock is included but not installed. A soft rifle case and a Simmons ProSport 10x50 binocular set round out the package.
