The P226 Combat configuration pairs a stainless steel slide in a black Nitron finish with an FDE hard-coat anodized aluminum alloy frame. Two-piece textured polymer grips in FDE complement the frame, while the exposed spur hammer and classic P226 profile complete the Combat look.
This pistol uses a DA/SA action with a decocking lever and classic SIG left-side controls, including the slide catch and takedown lever. A reversible magazine catch supports left- or right-handed operation. Sighting is handled by fixed 3-dot units: a front blade and a square-notch rear.
The 4.4-inch, non-threaded barrel and full-size frame deliver a 15+1 capacity in 9mm Luger. An integral MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail with three cross-slots is machined into the frame for mounting compatible lights or accessories.
Markings include "SIG SAUER INC., EXETER–NH–USA" on the frame. The factory model designation is E26R-9-CBT, with the case label showing the partial code "...6R-9-CBT." Year of manufacture is 2013, and the included steel magazines are purpose-built for the platform.
