It features a 16.1 in cold hammer-forged, six-groove stainless barrel with a satin finish, a Skinner receiver-mounted peep rear sight, and an 11/16-24 threaded muzzle with a factory thread protector. The Trapper configuration delivers a short 16.1 in barrel (factory label lists 16.17 in) with a 1:20 RH twist and six-groove rifling. The muzzle is threaded 11/16-24 and ships with a stainless thread protector installed. The magazine tube terminates just shy of the muzzle for the compact profile that defines the Trapper pattern.
The stainless receiver and barrel wear a satin finish, paired with a spiral-fluted, nickel-plated bolt that runs smoothly in the action. A cross-bolt safety complements the traditional lever-action controls. Capacity is five rounds total.
Sighting is straightforward and rugged: a Skinner 'Trapper' receiver-mounted peep rear sight works with an unhooded, ramped front blade. This setup provides a clean sight picture without adding bulk to the short rifle.
The black/gray laminated hardwood stock and matching fore-end include a pistol-grip butt with cut checkering, a recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is 13.5 in, overall length is approximately 34.25 in, and unloaded weight is approximately 7.1 lb. The rifle carries the Mayodan, North Carolina barrel rollmark and ships under Marlin's MPN 70450.
