This Winchester Model 9422M XTR is a .22 WMR lever-action rifle built in 1984 at New Haven, Connecticut. It features the XTR high-polish blue finish, a gloss-checkered walnut stock, and a bright, clean bore. Notable details include the pre-safety configuration, integral 3/8-inch scope grooves with installed 1-inch tip-off rings, and a Morgan Adjustable buttplate that sets the length of pull at 14.75 inches.
Built with a 20.5-inch round blued barrel and a steel receiver, this rifle retains Winchester Proof Steel markings and right-side ejection. An under-barrel tubular magazine holds approximately 12 rounds of .22 WMR and uses a knurled inner-magazine cap. The barrel is secured by two barrel bands.
The sighting system consists of a hooded ramp front sight and an adjustable rear barrel sight. The receiver’s integral 3/8-inch rimfire scope grooves accept the included 1-inch tip-off rings, providing straightforward mounting for rimfire optics. The serial number is stamped twice on the underside of the receiver, as noted by Winchester on this production.
The straight-grip walnut stock has cut checkering and a gloss finish. Sling-swivel studs are installed, and a leather sling is attached. A Morgan Adjustable buttplate is installed, yielding a 14.75-inch length of pull and allowing fine-tuning to shooter preference.

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: There are markings from previous handling and use. The bore is bright and clean. The stock rubber pad is getting loose and may need to be changed soon. Refer to pictures.
