It carries the stylized "Starfire" slide roll-mark and a DK prefix on the butt, with a ribbed-top slide and rear serrations. The 3.125 in barrel and Spain import marking align with examples brought into the U.S. circa 1957–1968.

The Model DK "Starfire" is an alloy-frame D-series variant marked with a DK prefix on the butt and a distinctive "Starfire" slide roll-mark. The pistol bears a "SPAIN" import marking and was part of the U.S. import era for Starfire-marked DKs from approximately 1957 to 1968.
Its operating system is a short-recoil, Browning-type tilting barrel with a swinging link, a locked-breech configuration uncommon among .380 ACP pistols of its period. The build pairs an aluminum-alloy frame with a steel slide and includes a barrel bushing.
This is a single-action, hammer-fired design with a manual thumb safety and an external spur hammer. The slide features rear serrations and a ribbed top, and the compact 3.125 in barrel keeps the profile slim and carry-friendly. Brown checkered plastic grips with STAR medallions complete the factory pattern.
The pistol was originally equipped with fixed sights—a small half-moon front blade and a fixed rear notch—but the rear sight is not present on this example, and the pin it normally retains may migrate without it. The design uses a detachable single-column magazine; no magazine is provided.
