The Model 11-87 is a gas-operated semi-automatic 12 gauge built in the United States, featuring right-side ejection and a cross-bolt safety. It is the Special Purpose variant, with the receiver roll-marked accordingly.
The 21 inch barrel is threaded for RemChoke tubes and is currently set up with a Full choke. The barrel is stamped "12 GA. FOR 2 3/4 OR 3 INCH SHELLS – NOT INTENDED FOR LIGHT LOADS." It has no iron sights, aligning with its scoped configuration.
The shotgun is chambered for both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells, feeding from an under-barrel tubular magazine with a stated capacity of 2+1. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
A receiver-mounted Weaver/Picatinny-style rail hosts a Simmons 3-10x44mm scope with a second focal plane duplex reticle and a 1-inch tube. This setup offers a straightforward sighting solution without relying on iron sights.
