The Model 760 Carbine (760C) pairs a compact 18.5" barrel with the Gamemaster pump-action system, chambered in .30-06. Its multi-lug rotating bolt locks into a barrel extension, and a separate slide tube helps free-float the barrel, a hallmark of the design.
Construction pairs a blued steel barrel with an anodized aluminum‑alloy receiver, matched to walnut furniture. The stock is checkered and includes sling swivel studs and a buttplate with a white-line spacer. The fore-end is walnut, and the rifle features a ramped front sight.
Factory-style markings include the "760 CARBINE" barrel roll mark, inspection/date stamps ahead of the receiver, and the barrel patent marking "U.S. 2,685,754." The rifle was made in the United States.
The receiver is drilled and tapped and is currently fitted with scope bases and rings. Feeding is from a detachable box magazine, and this example includes one 4-round magazine for a 4+1 capacity.
As a discontinued model later succeeded by the Model Six/7600 series, the 760C carbine variant saw approximately 62,726 units produced between 1960 and 1980, underscoring its defined place within the Gamemaster series.
