The Stainless Elite configuration pairs an all-stainless slide and frame with a natural matte finish for a cohesive, durable build. The prominent beavertail grip tang and vertical front-strap serrations support a secure, consistent hold during DA/SA operation.
Controls include a decocker, a left-side magazine release, and a spurred hammer. The SRT (Short Reset Trigger) enables quick, precise follow-up shots. Front and rear cocking serrations provide confident slide manipulation. The operating system is SIG’s short-recoil, locked-breech, tilting-barrel design.
Sight regulation is handled by dovetailed 3-dot night sights. An integral accessory rail with three slots accommodates common weapon lights and similar rail-mounted accessories.
Markings include “SIG SAUER INC. EXETER – NH” and “FRAME MADE IN GERMANY – SAUER, DE,” along with a slide marked “P220 Elite.” Five SIG-marked steel magazines are included with this pistol.
