This CMR-30 is chambered in .22 WMR and uses a straight blowback, semi-automatic action. It feeds from 30-round magazines for a 30+1 capacity, and it is designed to share the same magazines as the Kel-Tec PMR-30 pistol.
The 16.1 in nitrided steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and comes with a thread protector. Twist rate is 1:16 RH. The rifle retains its flip-up polymer front and rear sights for immediate use.
Construction pairs a rigid aluminum upper with a polymer lower, all in black. The collapsible, retractable wire stock with polymer buttplate keeps weight to about 3.8 lb and allows an overall length of 22.7 in collapsed and 30.6 in extended. A textured square-pattern pistol grip provides positive purchase.
Controls and interfaces include an ambidextrous thumb safety and dual, forward-mounted, non-reciprocating charging handles. The rifle features an integral full-length top Picatinny rail and a bottom accessory rail, with a right-side ejection port.
