The M206 is a 200 Series, compact six-shot snubnose built on a steel frame and cylinder, chambered in .38 Special. It runs DA/SA with a transfer bar safety and an exposed, checkered spurred hammer for confident cocking and control.
Its steel barrel uses a full underlug and shrouded ejector rod, adding protection and balance. Sighting is straightforward with a fixed ramp front and a fixed square-notch rear cut into the topstrap. The revolver wears compact checkered hardwood boot-style grips, and the cylinder latch is serrated for positive operation.
