What’s Included
- Dikar Philadelphia Derringer .45 caliber single-shot percussion pistol
Built as a faithful reproduction, this derringer follows the Philadelphia pattern with a percussion cap ignition and a bolster/nipple at the breech. Its micro size and 3-inch octagonal steel barrel keep the classic proportions associated with pocket carry of the period.
The markings are clear and informative: the lockplate reads "DERRINGER / PHILADELPHIA," and the barrel is marked "Dikar Spain .45 Cal. Black Powder Only." These factory-applied markings identify the maker, origin, and intended propellant.
It wears brass furniture including the trigger guard and decorative escutcheons, complemented by a small engraved brass panel at the breech. Light scrollwork embellishes the lock and hammer, adding period-style detailing consistent with the pattern.
The one-piece varnished hardwood stock ends in a bird’s-head grip. Sighting is straightforward, with a fixed brass front blade dovetailed near the muzzle and no rear sight, as is correct for this style. There is no ramrod channel or thimbles, and capacity is one shot.
