What’s Included
- Winchester Model 12 Field 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun
Built in 1954, this full-size Model 12 Field is configured in 12 Gauge with a 5+1 capacity and a 2-3/4 inch chamber. It uses right-side ejection with bottom loading, true to the Model 12 pattern and the Field configuration of the era.
The 28-inch plain steel barrel wears a single front bead and is factory marked "MOD." for its modified choke. The barrel is rollmarked 'Proof Steel,' reflecting Winchester’s steel specification of the period, and the shotgun follows the straightforward field setup preferred for general-purpose hunting.
Its takedown construction is marked with a direction arrow on the magazine tube, allowing the shotgun to separate into barrel/magazine and receiver assemblies. Both the barrel and receiver ring carry Winchester oval WP proofs, and the receiver and barrel/magazine extension show matching serial numbers, consistent with factory assembly.
The shotgun features a blued steel receiver and barrel, walnut stock with a pistol-grip profile, and a grooved corncob-style walnut slide handle. A Winchester-branded checkered steel buttplate is fitted, and the length of pull measures 14.1 inches.
