What’s Included
- F.lli Pietta Texas Paterson No. 5 Holster Model .36 caliber cap-and-ball revolver
Made by F.lli Pietta in Italy in 1987 and imported by Navy Arms, this Texas Paterson is marked on the barrel "Texas Paterson Cal. 36" and carries Italian PN black-powder and Gardone proof marks along with the Navy Arms Co. Ridgefield N.J. import mark. The serial number is present on the butt.
It is a single-action, cap-and-ball percussion design with a five-shot steel cylinder. True to the pattern, it uses a folding trigger without a trigger guard, an external spur hammer, and omits a loading lever.
The barrel is a long, octagonal, wedge-retained steel type, paired with a high-polish blue/black finish on the frame, cylinder, and receiver. The one-piece hardwood grip has a gloss finish for a classic, cohesive look.
The factory roll-engraved cylinder displays the stagecoach holdup scene. Sighting is straightforward and period-correct, with a brass bead front and a hammer-notch rear.
