This Model 10-7 features the desirable 2-inch heavy profile barrel paired with a round-butt K-frame, creating a compact six-shot .38 Special with sturdy barrel geometry. The cylinder is fluted and the ejector rod is the short, unshrouded style, consistent with classic Model 10 snub configurations.
The bright nickel finish is applied over a carbon steel frame and cylinder, giving the revolver its reflective appearance. The hammer is case-hardened with a checkered spur, and the trigger is smooth-faced. Stocks are checkered walnut Magna grips with S&W medallions, providing a traditional factory-correct look.
Sight configuration is straightforward and durable: a serrated ramp front sight and a fixed rear notch. The action is double-action/single-action, and overall markings include the S&W trade-mark logo on the left frame, with barrel rollmarks of "SMITH & WESSON" on the left and ".38 S.&W. SPL." on the right.
Manufactured in the United States in 1981, this 10-7 carries right-side frame markings "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS." Assembly numbers observed on the yoke/crane are "B21" and "1133x."
