This MCX-SPEAR stands out as a U.S.-made, short-stroke gas piston rifle purpose-built around the high-pressure .277 SIG FURY (6.8x51mm) cartridge. It features a 16 inch barrel with a 3-prong flash hider, an adjustable gas regulator with clearly marked +/– settings, and the MCX internal recoil system that enables a true side-folding, length-adjustable stock. It comes finished in coyote tan and includes three 20-round magazines and the original SIG Sauer factory box.

The receiver is marked "SIGMCX-SPEAR MULTI-CALIBER" with the maker’s mark "SIG SAUER INC, NEWINGTON, NH USA," and the barrel is stamped "6.8X51." The right-side ejection port includes a dust cover, and the upper has no forward-assist housing. An aluminum alloy receiver and free-float aluminum handguard keep weight centered and provide durability with a consistent coyote tan finish.
The operating system is semi-automatic with a short-stroke gas piston and an adjustable gas regulator denoted by +/–. Controls include a left-side charging handle, an ambidextrous safety selector, and a right-side, AR-style magazine release. Typical capacity is 20+1 with the included 20-round magazines.
The MCX internal recoil system allows the stock to fold to the side while remaining fully functional when extended. The stock also telescopes and adjusts for length. Furniture includes a polymer folding/telescoping stock and polymer pistol grip in a matching tan/coyote scheme.
The free-float M-LOK handguard provides mounting slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, along with a continuous 12 o’clock Picatinny rail across the upper for accessories. A threaded muzzle with a 3-prong flash hider is installed from the factory.
