Built in the Type II era and dated by serial code to 1982, this BAR carries factory markings reading "Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q., MADE IN BELGIUM – ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL." It features a blued steel receiver and 22 in steel barrel with the correct Belgian/Portuguese production identifiers.
The rifle is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and uses Browning’s gas-operated, semi-automatic action with right-side ejection. Capacity is 4+1, feeding from a detachable box magazine retained within a hinged floorplate. The magazine release is integrated into the floorplate assembly, and the operating handle is the round, grooved type.
Sighting equipment includes a hooded ramp front and a Williams rear open sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped and currently fitted with plug screws, providing a clean top profile as configured.
The stock set is high-gloss walnut with cut checkering, a pistol grip, and a long forend. It is fitted with sling-swivel studs and a metal buttplate, with a 14.0 in length of pull that complements the rifle’s full-size profile and handling.
