Built on the open-top receiver architecture with a right-side King's patent-style loading gate, this carbine uses the classic toggle-link lever-action system. The receiver and buttplate are brass alloy with a polished finish, complemented by a color case-hardened lever and hammer for an authentic period-correct look.
The 19-inch round blued steel barrel is paired with a full-length tubular magazine for a 10+1 capacity. Two steel barrel bands secure the fore-end, with the front sight blade integral to the forward band. The rear sight is an adjustable carbine-style open ladder/elevator unit.
Stocked in walnut, the carbine has a straight-grip buttstock and a walnut carbine fore-end, offering a traditional handling profile. Length of pull is 13.5, fitting the carbine’s full-size configuration.
Markings include "MOD.66 CARBINE" on the firearm, Italian/CIP proof marks, and a Stoeger - Accokeek, MD import mark. Overall finish is a striking brass-and-blued combination consistent with the Model 1866 carbine pattern.
