What’s Included
- Springfield Armory 1911-A1 Ultra Compact .45 ACP pistol
- Two 7-round single-stack steel magazines
The Ultra Compact series shortens the 1911 to a 3.5-inch configuration with a bushingless bull barrel, pairing .45 ACP performance with a compact footprint. Capacity is 7+1, and the single-action operation maintains the familiar 1911 manual of arms.
The stainless steel slide and frame feature brushed/polished flats with matte rounds for a balanced, durable finish. Rear cocking serrations aid manipulation, and a flat, vertically serrated mainspring housing supports consistent grip alignment.
Controls and interface are set up for confident handling: ambidextrous thumb safety, grip safety, a skeletonized hammer, and a long, lightened aluminum trigger. The black one-piece rubber wraparound grips with finger grooves provide a secure, hand-filling hold.
Fixed 3-dot sights with dovetailed front and rear units offer a clear sight picture and robust installation. The slide is marked "ULTRA COMPACT CAL .45" on the left and "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY" with the crossed-cannons logo on the right, with the barrel hood stamped "S.A. .45 AUTO."
Markings include "SPRINGFIELD GENESEO IL USA" on the frame and "IMBEL BRAZIL" on the underside of the dust cover, aligning with the noted IMBEL Brazil proof/import stamp. Two 7-round magazines are included to complete the package.
