This commercial Mark 23 is the civilian counterpart to the MK23 Mod 0 from the USSOCOM OHWS program, built in Germany and Ulm proofed in 2019. It features a cold hammer-forged, threaded barrel with an O-ring lockup and polygonal rifling, corrosion-resistant maritime-treated metal parts, and fully ambidextrous controls. It comes with two HK factory 10-round steel magazines and the original HK hard case labeled for the Mark 23.
Condition

Developed from the USSOCOM OHWS program, the Mark 23 pairs a modified linkless Browning short-recoil system with a 5.87 in cold hammer-forged barrel. The barrel is threaded and uses an O-ring lockup to enhance repeatable barrel-to-slide alignment, with polygonal rifling for durability and a tight gas seal.
Controls are fully ambidextrous where it matters, including the paddle-style magazine release and manual safety. The DA/SA system integrates a decocker and a firing pin block. The slide incorporates a recessed guide-rod boss, and the metal components wear HK’s corrosion-resistant maritime surface treatment.
Sighting is straightforward and precise with a fixed white-dot front blade, an adjustable rear, and a long 7.76 in sight radius. The dustcover hosts HK’s proprietary Universal Mounting Grooves (non-1913) for compatible accessories.
German manufacture and proofing details include CIP N and Ulm stag-antler marks, a BK date code indicating 2019 proof, and the HKI Columbus, GA import mark. The commercial Mark 23 series uses the 23-xxxxxx serial format.
This full-size .45 ACP ships with two 10-round steel Mark 23 magazines, providing a 10+1 capacity as supplied, and comes in the original HK factory hard case with the Mark 23 label, plus the manual and lockout key.
