The 28" octagonal steel barrel is marked ".50 Caliber" and "Black Powder Only," and the barrel is wedge-retained with one wedge-key escutcheon. This single-shot muzzleloader uses a right-hand percussion sidelock featuring a drum/bolster with a clean-out screw and an empty, internally threaded nipple seat (no nipple installed). Two ramrod thimbles are fitted to the barrel.
The varnished hardwood half-stock presents the classic Hawken profile and a length of pull of 15.0. Brass furniture includes the buttplate, nosecap, hinged patchbox, and a brass trigger guard with a finger spur, delivering the traditional styling associated with this pattern.
Sighting is via open sights, with a dovetailed front blade and an elevation-adjustable open rear sight for practical alignment. The double-set trigger arrangement provides a crisp release appropriate to the rifle’s traditional design.
Markings include "MADE IN SPAIN" along with Spanish proof symbols and "700 Kp/cm² L°2," confirming proof and origin. This is a modern reproduction built in Spain and configured for black powder use only.
