Made in Belgium by FN and marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST LOUIS Mo. & MONTREAL P.Q., MADE IN BELGIUM," this SA-22 represents the desirable Grade I series with tasteful factory scroll engraving. The receiver panels show scrollwork framed by a zig-zag border, a hallmark detail on these mid-century Browning rimfires.
The rifle retains the SA-22’s signature bottom ejection, keeping empties away from the shooter. It uses a through-the-stock tubular magazine loaded from the right side and is chambered in .22 LR with a listed capacity of 10+1.
Its takedown system separates the barrel assembly from the receiver for transport and storage, and the adjustable barrel-fit ring lets the user set a snug interface between the halves. The barrel measures 19.25 inches.
Stocked in checkered walnut, the rifle features a pistol-grip buttstock with a hard buttplate and a matching walnut forend. Length of pull is 14.0 inches. Sight arrangement is oriented for the mounted scope, with a ramped steel blade front sight present.
A Browning 4x fixed-power scope with a crosshair reticle is mounted on a receiver-top base with rings, providing a stable sighting option while preserving the rifle’s trim handling. The bore is bright and clean, supporting the rifle’s well-kept presentation.
